UNIQUE/GREEN FEATURES:

This was a very challenging project, on which we worked very hard with the homeowners to design a space that was both functional and also utilized the existing space within the structure. The result is a unique but elegant structure that increased the square footage by about 50% without increasing the footprint. Driven by appearance as well as budget, it was important to the owners to not only add on the room they needed, but also to integrate the new space into what they already had, thereby preserving the integrity of the architecture, as well as conserving resources. It is for this reason that we consider this a very successful green project. We try to remember that it is not just the products that make a house green, but the process as well. (Green building must start with good design; everything else is gravy.) We also paid close attention to improving the envelope where we could, which included replacing windows, replacing poor insulation, and air sealing.

TESTIMONIAL:

Greg Follet and Fish Builders went above and beyond our expectations. Greg was helpful in every step of the project from planning & design to the finishing touches. 2 years later he still checks in on us and makes sure everything is working out. Greg and his crew are all so honest, friendly & hard working, you just know you are being well taken care of. Susan Dempsey Hughes & Zack Hughes
